Shamanic Journeying Crystal
Shamanic Journeying has been practised for thousands of years in every corner of the world. The magical equivalent is known as astral travel, but this is not as safe as shamanic journeying. To travel shamanically you first have to descend below the earth to find some power animals. Some people do not have the imagination to do this, or do not find any animals when they get there. Some teachers seem to think that having one or two animals is good enough, but working on the principle that more is better, I prefer as many power animals as possible. Power animals give energy to the journeyer, they give full protection, and will attack any foes encountered. Furthermore, power animals will travel to any level with the journeyer, even scouting ahead to find any problems.

The Power Shamanic Journeying crystal is programmed with a simple structure that reflects the 3 levels, Higher, Middle and Lower, and the four directions. At the Lower level the four directions are programmed with prototype Power Animals such as Lion, Tiger, Elephant, Dolphin, Whale, Eagle, etc. Once the user has contacted the main power animals, other animals are easy to find. No further structure is imposed on the crystal since we all have slightly different models of the universe. Imbalance is a critical danger when travelling astrally or shamanically, but with a Shamanic Journeying crystal, balance and harmony is automatically imposed between the directions and levels. This is a powerful addition to the magical armoury that all shamans and magicians need.
As with the other crystals apart from the extra energy and peace of mind gained from the crystal, by keeping the crystal with you, you will at some level continue to work with the Power Animals sharing energy and knowledge. All magical and shamanic work requires energy - indeed part of the work of the Shaman is to recover lost energy. When travelling the Middle regions there are many dangers from black magicians and other evil shamans. If you do not have enough energy, you will be in danger, even with your power animals, so take no chances and have your Shamanic Journeying Crystal with you!
A powerful feature of this crystal is the ability to balance and centre the Shaman at the centre of his or her universe. A worry for new shamans is the ability to 'return' from a journey, but with this crystal, this problem should not exist.
Using the Crystal
Carry the Shamanic Journeying Generator with you as a protective talisman, or keep it on the altar with other magical weapons. When working shamanically, hold the crystal in your hand. You may have to experiment to see if the left or right hand works better for you. If you have the ability to skry and work energetically, you may find that your own Power Animals are available in the crystal along with the main Power Animals already included. Happy Travelling!
